All 2023 Taos models feature a digital instrument cluster, a rarity in the segment. While S and SE variants come with an 8-inch screen, the top SEL features a 10.25-inch screen with Volkswagen Digital Cockpit Pro. Features on the SEL include dual-zone climate control, an eight-way power-adjustable driver seat, ambient interior lighting, plus heated and ventilated front seats. Volkswagen's App-Connect® smartphone integration is on all trims via wired connection, with wireless connectivity on SE and SEL. The top SEL trim also receives a BeatsAudio® speaker system and a heated steering wheel.
In terms of space, the 2023 Taos offers a 99-cubic-foot passenger cabin with seating for up to five adults, plus 28 cubic feet of cargo space. You can fold the rear seats and get 66 cubic feet of space when required. The dashboard sports the characteristic Volkswagen layout and is well thought out, with the infotainment system touchscreen seamlessly integrated above the center air vents. This screen is a 6.5-inch unit on S variants, with SE and SEL gaining an 8-inch screen.
