Behind the Atlas’ new color options
The color of your vehicle says a lot about you and who you are. Volkswagen gets this and adds new colors to its vehicle line up to suit more people. Recently, the Atlas has received an update to its color options. Keep reading to learn more about the behind the scenes information.
A radical new color
New to the Atlas palette is the Racing Green. This exterior paint color option is a dark green hue with a metallic finish to add a glossy, premium look. The search for a new color started in 2017 with the North American Region designers. The consideration of colors dealt with keeping the integrity of the Atlas’ premium look while still being able to endure the wear and tear of daily life.
Other color options on the Atlas
Besides Racing Green, the other color options introduced to the 2021 Volkswagen Atlas is the Pyrit Silver Metallic and Aurora Red Chroma which are replacing the previous silver and red colors. The Pyrit Silver is now lighter and more expressive. The Aurora Chroma has a coral hue at its base with an extra topcoat for a deeper, more luxurious color. While these are new, exciting options to the 2021 Atlas model, designers are already on the lookout for newer color for future models.
